Rifles in the...
Rifles in the... is a series of single-player war games by Gottardo Zancani, set in the WW2 era. They provide a novel approach to playing solo war games, using an abstract, football-field-like map, rather than a grid, and a system of random events, hand-tuned for each scenario, to drive gameplay. The engine itself is exceedingly clever, IMO.

- Rifles in the Ardennes:
- Product page.
- RiTA on BoardGameGeek.
- My RiTA photo album. My copy of the game is in digital format, so i had to hand-build it (and it came out quite nice, i don't mind saying).
- Rifles in the Pacific (same game engine, but set in the Pacific theater of operations):
- Product page.
- RiTP on BoardGameGeek.
- i don't yet have RiTP, so no photos of it :(.
- Mission generator for both RiTA and RiTP: The game's designer released an online mission generator tool, which i took and, with his blessing, heavily restructured for better maintainability/hackability, modernized it a bit, and have gotten his permission to host a copy of it: Because i hack on the tool, and habitually sync code changes with my website relatively often, it's conceivable that this copy may, at times, be slightly newer than, older than, or the same age as Gottardo's copy. Please consider his copy to be "stable" and mine to be "experimental"/"unstable".
